UbiComp \/ ISWC 2025<\/span> UbiComp\/ISWC 2025<\/span><\/a> invite proposals for the Workshops program of the 2025 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp) and the 2025 International Symposium on Wearable Computers (ISWC). Workshops provide an effective forum for attendees with common interests and are a great community-building opportunity. Workshops can vary in program length, size, and format depending on their specific objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n All Workshops will be held before the main conference on October 12 and 13, 2025. The main conference takes place on October 14-16, 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n Like any other UbiComp\/ISWC 2025 track, workshops will be in-person only. We are soliciting workshop proposals on any topic of relevance to Ubiquitous Computing and\/or Wearable Computing. There are many ways workshops can enrich a conference, and we aim to accommodate diverse opportunities for the community to engage. This includes, but is not limited to<\/span>:<\/p>\n We encourage workshop organisers to consider a juried\/lightweight and short review process for contributions submitted to their workshops. Workshops are not intended to be mini-conferences, and we would like organisers to develop proposals that can include and engage community members.<\/span><\/p>\n Having a large PC for workshop papers is probably <\/span>unnecessary<\/span>, but encouraging senior researchers and experts to attend the workshop is strongly recommended. Individual presentations are normal at the workshops, but we also encourage proposals with other activities, such as having substantial discussion time to engage workshop participants. We also encourage organisers to run an open workshop. Conference participants can sign up and attend without submitting a workshop paper. This allows workshops to draw more people from the community interested in the subject matter. Organisers may wish to consider alternatives to full paper submission, including posters and position papers.<\/span><\/p>\n Should you wish to discuss ideas for a workshop proposal before the submission deadline, feel free to contact the Chairs of the Workshops Program at workshops-2025@ubicomp.org<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The proposal should be prepared as a document of no more than four pages (including any reference) following the 2-column template following the IMWUT <\/span>instructions.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n The proposal must describe:<\/p>\n Some guiding questions:<\/p>\n Upon acceptance, the submitted workshop proposal is expected to be revised and adapted for inclusion in the Adjunct Proceedings and ACM Digital Library.<\/span><\/p>\n All workshops have the option of soliciting contributions for inclusion in the ACM Digital Library and Adjunct Proceedings of the conference. Workshop organisers must clearly describe in their proposal whether they plan to have workshop contributions published in this way. Organisers can specify page numbers for papers they solicit, but all workshop papers must use the UbiComp\/ISWC 2025 templates and formatting instructions.<\/span><\/p>\n A jury of experts will review workshop proposals based on how compelling they expect the workshops to be to UbiComp\/ISWC attendees. The jury will consider several factors during the selection process, including:<\/span><\/p>\n The deadline for submission is <\/span>April 30<\/span>, 2025, AoE<\/b>.
